SsangYong is a Korean brand that offers a multitude of cars that are affordable and practical to use. While you have the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, the SsangYong steps into the game with the Korando which is now revised for the year 2016 car. It is a valuable car that is very affordable and is decently designed and looks nice from the exterior and does deserve a chance in the crop of already successful cars around in this segment. The car looks simple in design without a lot of rugged lines and yet gets a 4×4 system that is very capable for off-road duties.
Inside the car, the dashboard is clean and plainly laid out with the materials robust and handsome. The equipment is also very comprehensive as in the standard trim, you get cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted controls for the infotainment systems. You get a multitude of trims on offer with the range topping versions getting full leather seats that are electrically adjustable and hated, satellite navigation, reversing camera, parking sensors and LED lights.
The passenger seat is large and comfortable with plenty of room. The boot is also practical and folding the seats will only make it more practical. The steering is light and car is easy to drive and the 4×4 models are very capable off-road. The suspension is soft so the city commutes is great and the bumps are well soaked and ironed out. The rivals are many in this segment but the Korando undercuts almost everyone in this segment with its staggering value for money proposition making a car that is capable of doing what everyone is able to in a relatively tolerable manner and be impressively well priced.
