The Opel Astra or Vauxhall Astra as it is called in other markets is a hatchback that sells like hot cakes on a cool day in many places and is very famous for its capability of selling in the numbers. The latest version for 2018 is much better than its predecessor. The car is very well designed with a slick headlight design, fog lights and a swooping bonnet that is sporty and aggressive. The shoulder lines are slimmer at the end giving a tapered look thanks to the windows that become narrower. The rear end of the car is slightly bulky and gives the car presence.
The boot is adequate for luggage and the rear passenger seat entry is easy and the seats are comfortable and will be doable to carry three people on board with good knee room and head room. The car is also slightly cheaper than its rivals and hence comes as a value proposition. The car is practical with cubbies in the front and rear. The interiors are so much better with shiny plastics and material quality is better and is soft to touch.
The higher spec models get auto emergency braking, 8-inch infotainment, satellite navigation and the system itself is easy to use. The car is good to drive and is 138-kilo grams lighter making it more agile and nimble in the corners and gives better fuel economy with really good ride handling. The car is comfortable and its newer version fun to drive as well as opposed to the older boring versions. The cabin is quiet and well insulated making it a perfect hatchback. There is a bi turbo petrol engine that puts 160hp for those seeking performance from this car.
