The 2013 front-wheel-drive Ford Fusion platform serves as the base for the MKZ sedan. Lincoln has ensured the newsworthiness of the model by periodic improvements and upgrades. In 2017, it got a new grille and new engine, and for 2018 it gets four new colours.
The entry-level model is powered by a 250hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and the bigger V6 3.0-litre and uses Ford’s twin-turbocharged EcoBoost technology offers 400hp with all-wheel drive, or 350hp with front-wheel drive. It’s mated to a six-speed automatic and also available with this engine is a Driver’s Package that includes Dynamic Torque Vectoring to tighten cornering, and an active sport-tuned suspension.
Also available is Lincoln Drive Control, with three modes to set the suspension, steering response, and stability control. It also has active noise cancellation to help build luxury silence in the cabin. An upscale version of Ford’s Sync 3 interface is available for infotainment and connectivity.
