Toyota Camry has had a successful career graph over all its years of existence. Not just in the Middle East, but this gorgeous car has left its positive impact in various other international markets as well. Now there is a hybrid variant too, which is available at Al-Futtaim Toyota at a price tag of AED 133,500 (incl VAT).

Toyota is known for building reliable and rugged vehicles. It has its own set of rules for testing its products before launching it for the public. The Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) has undergone its share of tests. These tests were not conducted recently, Toyota introduced the car in a limited number back in 2008, to be tested by fleet operators in local weather conditions.

After taking all the beating, the test results of the Camry Hybrid surpassed the company’s expectations when it comes to cost savings. And in 2012, it was finally decided to launch the car. Now, there’s a new one.

The new 2018 Camry Hybrid is based on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. It comes with two electric motors and a 2.5L petrol engine. This package together produces a total of 208 horsepower. The Camry Hybrid comes with an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT).

Speaking about the new Camry Hybrid, Suzan Kazzi, Head of Corporate Communications at Al-Futtaim Toyota said, “Camry HEV has been leading the sustainable mobility march since 2008, being the first marque that pioneered the HEV technology in the UAE. With 26 kmpl Camry HEV runs like the petrol engine Camry, except it drives more for less fuel and less CO2 emissions.”
