Porsche is all set to introduce a new innovative and revolutionary display and control as a part of the Porsche Driving Experience Cockpit concept on the 2024 Porsche Cayenne, which will be showcased at the Auto Shanghai show in China on April 18, 2023.

Porsche Driver Experience Cockpit which makes its debut in the 2024 Cayenne includes not one but three fully digital displays that are customizable and easy to operate.

The new Cockpit of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne

The Cayenne features a new interior and for the first time ever, a Porsche with a combustion engine is equipped with the Taycan electric sports car’s luxurious cockpit. It has a modern steering wheel, a revamped centre console, and a digital instrument cluster with a curved and free-standing design with various display options.

The Porsche Cayenne’s instrument console now gets a free-standing 12.6-inch curved display without a hood cover, providing it with a futuristic, minimalist appearance with a redesigned cockpit. The 12.3-inch central display operates the Porsche Communication Management system and provides access to multimedia, comfort, and driving features.

An optional 10.9-inch passenger display is a new feature in the Porsche SUV. The new way for the passenger to assist the driver is by choosing a media provider or carrying out other duties thanks to the additional touchscreen.

Porsche has also placed the redesigned control lever for the driver assistance systems directly on the steering wheel in the new Cayenne. The most crucial controls which are important to the driving experience surround the steering wheel. As a result, driving becomes even more intense.

A balance between digital and analogue elements is a key feature of the new Porsche Driver Experience. In the typical Porsche style, the new engine start button is placed to the left of the steering wheel also new automatic gear selector is located just to the right of the steering wheel between the instrument cluster and the central display.

It makes room on the centre console to carry the new air conditioning control panel with stylish analogue controls. Passengers experience a new level of connectivity with the vehicle and the driver via the optional passenger display.

Sporty essence inside the Cabin of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne

The new Porsche Cayenne is the sportiest car in its segment and its interior reflects this as well, the sporty interior perfectly blends comfort, practicality, and unique Cayenne design elements. The new control approach is displayed in a simple layout that emphasises breadth.

The new multifunction sports steering wheel shared with the 911, has been revamped with a modern and sporty design. A Driving mode switch is located on the steering wheel that allows the driver to choose between Normal, Offroad, Sport, and Sport Plus modes, as well as a toggle button for customising the functions and designs of the instrument cluster. Controls for the optional head-up display are also located on the steering wheel.

The interior now appears bigger thanks to the horizontal emphasis on the new instrument panel, centre console, and upper half of the door. Porsche has for the first time removed grilles from every air outlet in the cockpit, and the air vents are elegantly vertically aligned.
