Peugeot Joins Hand With FIA World Champion, Sheikh Khalid

Peugeot has got a long and successful history when it comes to racing. And in an attempt to continue its unflawed racing history, Peugeot Abu Dhabi has partnered up with Sheikh Khalid bin Faisal Al Qassimi.

Sheikh Khalid has got a number of thrilling victories to his name. He is the 2017 FIA World Champion in cross-country rallies in the 2WD category. His partnership with Peugeot Abu Dhabi would go along for this year’s Dubai International Baja, the oldest motorsport event in the UAE. It is scheduled to take place sometime this month.

Speaking about his partnership with Peugeot Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalid, said, “I’m delighted to be the official Peugeot driver; our partnership with Peugeot Middle East is very important to me and Abu Dhabi Racing. We are highly motivated to continue achieving great results and hopefully, together, we will defend our title for the 2nd season in a row as the FIA Cross-Country Rallies World Champion for the 2WD category.”

Cedric Zayoun, Managing Director of the GCC region at PSA Group, said,” We would like to congratulate Sheikh Khalid bin Faisal Al Qassimi on his well-deserved win at the 2017 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. We are very proud of him as a Peugeot ambassador who is always eager to reflect the brand’s image at its best and look forward to seeing him achieve great results with us in 2018.”

Peugeot’s race vehicle is the 3008 DKR. It performed brilliantly in the 2017 Dakar Rally. And it won the event again this year. Peugeot is very confident with its 3008 DKR. And with its partnership with Sheikh Khalid, it is looking forward to achieving many such wins in 2018 and beyond.
