Mercedes-Benz has now made available the all-new S-Class in Abu Dhabi. It’s the company’s one of the most iconic and expensive products, and it can now be seen in all the showrooms of  Emirates Motor Company (EMC) in Abu Dhabi.

The S-Class is a work of art and the attention to details on this vehicle is simply unbelievable. It continues to be the undisputed leader of intelligence, power, performance and luxury. If we talk about the interior of the car, it is luxury-on-wheels. It offers an unparalleled level of comfort for drivers and passengers. The S-Class also features world’s first ENERGIZING comfort control feature. This system allows the occupants to link various comfort systems, such as climate control and massage functions.

The S-Class GCC models have the panoramic sunroof as standard. Also, it has the Sun Protection Package to protect passengers from direct sunlight and reduce the interior temperature of the car. And the memory front seats automatically adjust the driver’s seat to their preferred setting.

The earlier generation of the S-Class had a 5.5 litre, V8 Bi-turbo engine which gave out around 586 hp. The new model carries a new AMG 4.0 litre, V8 Bi-turbo engine under its hood. This powerhouse is less in terms of displacement from the older one, but it produces a whopping 612hp. This allows the S-Class to do a sprint of 0-100kph in just 3.5 seconds, which lands in proper sportscar territory. It also has the new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed sports transmission which replaces the previous 7-speed gearbox.

Abu Dhabi, one of the largest markets for the best-selling luxury sedan in the world, has the world’s largest state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz facility. It hosted the annual Regional Training Experience (RTE) and EMC in August 2017, where sales consultants and managers from across the GCC were present. The training started off with presentations on the new S-Class specification and highlights and ended with competitor showroom visits entailing a couple of mystery shopping exercises.

Chris Edwards, EMC General Manager Passenger Cars commented, “We are pleased that Mercedes-Benz Middle East brought this intensive regional training to our premises as it is crucial to comprehend how this extraordinary machine operates. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has taken another big step towards autonomous driving elevating the Intelligent Drive System to the next level. The Regional Training Experience has allowed participants to engage and interact with this new technology. The overall training was focussed on the new S-Class face-lift, as well as the hybrid technologies existing in vehicles of Mercedes- Benz now available in Abu Dhabi.”

It’s inevitable that electric cars are the future of automobile world. With this in mind, EMC has its own strategy of supporting Abu Dhabi toward sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. To support this strategy, Mercedes-Benz will also be launching a hybrid variant of the S-Class in Abu Dhabi in the near future. This model will be named as the S560E. It will have a higher battery capacity which would allow it to have a 67% higher range. It will also have a 7.2kW charger which will help to recharge the batteries faster than ever.
