Renault’s latest offering for the people in the Middle East is the Megane GT. It is Renault’s new hot hatchback whose bookings are now open.

Booking

Renault has introduced a new concept for the booking of this new car. It has gone digital. Interested customers can reserve the Megane GT online by visiting this website. This is the only way you can book it as of now. This process is open until 23 May.

In order to book a Megane GT, you will have to pay a fee of AED 500. To lure in more customers, Renault has announced that people who will reserve Megane GT online will get a free Renault’s Premium Pack which includes Alcantara upholstery, an 8.7-inch touch infotainment screen, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Speaking about the new hot hatch, Marwan Haidamous, Managing Director, Renault Middle East said, “This is the first time we are trialing a new and innovative way of retailing our cars. We live in a digital age where items are at our fingertips on our smartphones or laptops so it’s important that we look at the traditional car purchasing process and see how we can make it easier and more enjoyable.”

Engine

The new Renault Megane GT packs a 1.6-liter, turbocharged engine, that churns out 205 bhp of max power and generates a torque figure of 280 Nm. It has got a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It deals with the 0-100 kph sprint in 7.1 seconds, and when given the beans, it will do a max of 233 kph.

Availability

The Megane GT carries a price tag of AED 107,900. It is available in a number of colors – Starry Black, Comet Grey, Iron Blue, Pearl White and Flame Red. It will go up against the likes of VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST.
