Land Rover Introduces The Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic
Land Rover, last week, unveiled a new trick up its sleeve. Punching three weight classes above the erstwhile top of the line, Velar R-Dynamic, the new Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic has been slated only for a year of production by the company.
Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations has graced the new SVA Dynamic with a 542-hp 5.0-litre V8, pushing the 3.0-litre V6 Velar R-Dynamic to second place in the respective portfolio. Output figures of the new Velar SVA Dynamic slots just under the full-sized 557-hp Range Rover SVA Dynamic and just above the 518-hp Range Rover Sport. It does so while being close to 150kg lesser than the both.
Hence, when Land Rover claims that the new Velar SVA Dynamic is “the most driver-focused model in the range” we believe them. The new Velar SVA matches the 0-100kph time of the Range Rover Sports SVR. With a top speed of 273kph, the new SVA Dynamic is said to be faster than its elder siblings in corners, thanks to the new lightweight body that now comes with better handling because of the new undertray placed below the transmission tunnel.
It also enjoys a host of new additions including a re-tuned software for the steering, eight-speed transmission, dampers, locking rear differential and AWD system. On the hardware side, the new SVA Dynamic gets firmer air suspension along with two-piece brakes with tougher transfer case for challenging terrains. The SUV sits on 21-inch forged aluminium wheels that weighs as much as the standard Velar’s 20-inch wheels. Additionally, this can be upgraded to 22-inch diamond-turned wheels in Silver Sparkle.

Exterior tweaks come in the form of a new grille and front bumper with larger intakes and re-shaped side sills. Instead of the 10-colour palette available for the standard Velar, the new SVA Dynamic will be available in six-colours.
On the inside, the SVA Dynamic comes with unique, quilted and perforated Windsor leather with twin stitching in either Ebony, Cirrus, Vintage Tan of Pimento. While the company has not put a price-tag on the vehicle we expect it to be revealed closer to its launch in the Middle East.
