Ken Block, the mad drift king, has added a new car to his collection. It is a 1991 Ford (obviously) Escort Cosworth. If you’re wondering about the car, it’s not a road car, it’s a proper rally car.

It’s white, it’s compact and it’s got a wind at the rear. While it doesn’t look intimidating from the outside, it’s a completely different story inside the car. Everything is meant and designed for a purpose. With all the switches, metres, gauges, etc, one could easily get confused on what does what. Clearly, luxury is not what you’ll get here; but big grins is what we promise.

Under the hood of this beautiful Ford Escort Cosworth is 2.0 litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine which has been tuned in a state to produce 400 horses. Transmitting this brutal power to all the four wheels is a seven-speed sequential gearbox.

Unfortunately, Ford wasn’t lucky enough to win a WRC title with the Cosworth but the car was one hell of a machine and still is. We’re eagerly waiting for Block’s another video in which he’d use his new toy to play around somewhere in this world.
