Juma Al Majid Est, the exclusive distributor for Hyundai cars in the region participated in the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit during which they unveiled the IONIC 5, Hyundai’s electric SUV.  The annual exhibition and conference for electric vehicles is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 23 to 25 May.

The event comprises ADNEC’s first electric-vehicle innovation conference and exhibition, witnessing the participation of hundreds of leading companies, investors, R&D engineers and government officials to showcase the latest developments, technologies and sustainable strategic solutions in the electric vehicle sector.

On the first day of the event, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, visited Juma Al Majid’s pavilion and was briefed on the Hyundai IONIC 5, the company’s first fully electric vehicle that will be launching in the regional market in H2 2023.

The IONIC 5 5 has a long wheelbase, which ensures a better driving experience, and interiors made from environmentally friendly materials. The car has also been enhanced with advanced specifications that guarantee strong performance with ultra-fast charging, in addition to advanced entertainment features, and modern safety- and driver-assistance technologies to ensure the best experience.

Suliman Al Zaben, Director of Hyundai UAE, said: “Our participation in the exhibition helps us communicate with our customers and inform them about Hyundai’s innovations in electric vehicles. We also seek to emphasise our support of the country’s transformational journey towards clean energy. Over the next few years, we will reveal more Hyundai-branded models in the region, especially as we are witnessing great interest in this global event.”

The organisation of this exhibition aligns with the directives of the UAE government and its ambitious initiatives to preserve the environment by reducing carbon emissions and relying on clean-energy solutions.
