The 2021 Hyundai Tucson has had many cosmetic changes over the years and has evolved to be one of the most perfect family cars. The particular version I reviewed was the top of the Hyundai Tucson Premium. This version of the Tucson is the last year for it before we will see the 2022 Hyundai Tucson getting introduced.

The Hyundai Tucson 2021 shares a lot of parts with the Kia Sportage including the engine. So this Tucson 2021 comes with a 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder, GDI engine that produces 184 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. While it comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox which has an impressive gearing ratio not feeling you the need to have more gears. The Hyundai Tucson has an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system.

On the interior, you will find an updated 8-inch infotainment system and an 8-speakers Infinity sound system. The infotainment system is smooth most of the time with an occasional lag sometimes. It is intuitive and easy to use though.

In terms of the safety system, all the models across the Tuscon range come with all the standard safety features. So there is never a compromise on the safety system irrespective of whichever model you pick up.

The Hyundai Tuscon instead of living up to the word sporty in the SUV is a CUV which is a comfortable utility vehicle. It has a great bit of handling and leather seats are comfortable enough for longer journeys. The Hyundai Tucson does very little wrong and a great deal right. It has space, refinement, excellent ownership costs and overall ease of use. it is one of the best budget family SUV.

The 2021 Hyundai Tuscon competes with the Peugeot 3008, Nissan Qashqai, Mazda CX 5 and Kia Sportage.
