GMC Launches 2019 Acadia In The Middle East

GMC has announced the arrival of 2019 Acadia in the Middle East. The all-new midsize crossover will be launched in the hot segment rivalling against the likes of Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Pilot and Ford Explorer.

The new Acadia will hit the markets in three trims: SL, SLE and SLT in addition to the top-class Denali models. The car will be available in five-, six- and seven-passenger seating configurations and is said to be designed to offer more refinement along with advanced safety and efficient powertrain.

At the heart of it all is a 3.6-litre V6 engine that delivers 310hp. This coupled with GMC’s Active Fuel Management is claimed to deliver an improved fuel efficiency of 83.9kpl. The V6 engine features direct injection, variable valve timing as well as Active Fuel Management (Cylinder Deactivation), and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled drive mode selector.

Safety features on offer in the 2019 Acadia include Front Pedestrian Braking, Surround Vision camera system, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Change Alert in addition to Front and Rear Parking Assist.

Inside the cabin, the new Acadia gets an 8-inch infotainment system with GMC’s IntelliLink system, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone projection capabilities.

All 2019 Acadia models will feature a drive mode selector, allowing the driver to alter chassis and powertrain attributes to suit a variety of driving conditions. Meanwhile, the All-Terrain model has a specific Off-road mode on the drive mode selector, which works with the model’s exclusive AWD system to offer enhanced off-road capability.
