Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the most good-looking hatchback we have ever seen: meet the all-new Peugeot 308.

Peugoet’s design department has won our hearts with the 308’s exterior. The new grille and French carmaker’s new Lion logo make the front fascia look very good.  At the back you will see a rear spoiler, a light bar and a sharp air-channelling crease.

The 308 has inherited Peugeot’s awesome i-Cockpit also seen in the 5008 and has the cool-looking hexagonal steering wheel. Wireless charging pad, eight-color LED ambient lighting, electrically adjustable seats and 10-speaker Focal sound system are the main features of the interior. Peugeot’s ‘OK Peugeot’ voice control function is another feature of the 308.

Engine-wise there are plenty of option on offer. A 1.2-liter petrol engine three-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine are available. They can be mated to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The option of a plug-in hybrid is also available. The PHEV variants will have a 12.4-kWh battery pack combined with a 150 horsepower or 180 horsepower petrol engine.

Driving-wise Peugeot’s Drive Assist 2.0 package, which is a “further step towards autonomous driving”, is also available along with long-range blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic alert, a cleaning nozzle for the reversing camera and 360degree parking assist.

To sum things up, the 308 looks set to take the hatchback-market by storm as it looks like the complete package.
