2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Unveiled With 830 Horsepower
Ladies and gentlemen, raise a glass for the much-awaited GMC Hummer EV SUV. This is the SUV sibling of the Hummer EV Truck and it has some serious numbers to brag about.
For people who are thinking that this will be just like the pickup, GMC has proved you wrong. The only similar things between the truck and the SUV are front design and interior technology. Apart from that everything is different.
The SUV has 830 horsepower and a whopping 11,500 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the SUV has a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds. As far as the range is concerned, GMC claims the Hummer SUV 300 miles of range which is pretty impressive.
In terms of size, the SUV is smaller than its pickup truck sibling. The SUV has a better turning radius and four-wheel steering along with a front eLocker and virtual rear lockers, heavy-duty half shafts, underbody cameras, rock sliders and skid plates. As a result, GMC claims that the Hummer SUV has best-in-class off-road capability.
As stated earlier, the interior is identical to the one found in the pickup truck and has everything you will want in a 21st century automobile.
The Edition 1 model sits on 22-inch wheels while the cars with the Extreme Off-Road package will have 18-inch wheels. You can have an open-air experience in the Hummer EV SUV as removable roof panels are on offer.
So far so good, right? Well, the bad news is that the deliveries of the Edition 1GMC Hummer SUV will begin in 2023. The rest of the cars will be delivered in 2024.
