Toyota revealed the facelifted Fortuner SUV and Hilux pickup truck in the GCC to rejuvenate these two models. Although the Fortuner wasn’t in any real need of an upgrade, the retouch has freshened up the Hilux-based SUV.

2020 Toyota Fortuner

The current-gen Fortuner has been around since 2015 in the UAE. As part of the mid-cycle facelift, the SUV gets new. slimmer headlights with integrated LED DRLs. A new enlarged grille showcases a horizontal mesh pattern, paired with a more angular bumper with large black vents and foglamp housings. New LED taillights round off the visual changes.

The Fortuner’s cabin sees limited changes, yet sports a larger 8-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the UAE, the Toyota Fortuner is priced starting from AED 115,000 for the base EXR trim. Expect the new one to come with a slightly higher price tag.

2020 Toyota Hilux

The legendary pickup truck never needs a refresh, given the demand it commands across global markets. However, Toyota does not rest upon its laurels and keeps tweaking its models to stay ahead of the curve. The new Hilux sports a larger grille with a new design. A black or silver surround is available depending on trim.

The new, redesigned headlamps are smaller than those of the pre-facelift model. Toyota has added new graphics and LED DRLs to the package. The rear fascia is largely untouched except for the taillights to freshen up the popular pickup truck’s appearance.

The Toyota Hilux is available in the UAE in double cab configuration with prices starting from AED 106,000 AED. The 2020 iteration will cost slightly more.
