2019 GMC Yukon Launched In The UAE

The 2019 GMC Yukon is confirmed to arrive in the Middle East this year. For MY2019, the Yukon will come in four models including Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali and Yukon Denali XL.

On the Outside

Compared to the outgoing model, the new Yukon comes with a wider rear track that helps it to be better planted. Additions to the new model come in the form of a new electric variable-assist power steering system, 241-mm rear axle and standard automatic locking rear differential, standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control, tow/haul mode, trailer sway control, auto grade braking and hill start assist.

On The Inside

With the new model, GMC has promised a silent cabin, all thanks to the new active noise cancellation technology that provides better insulation from outside noise. The SLE and SLT trims will get the 8-inch Colour Touch radio with GMC IntelliLink and Apple CarPlay as standard. Additionally, the same trims will also come with Bose’s nine-speaker audio system. For Denali trims, GMC has included a Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium 10-speaker audio system along with the same 8-inch Colour Touch Radio.

GMC has loaded the new SUV with a comprehensive safety package that includes Lane Keep Assist, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert and Adaptive Cruise Control with Front Automatic Braking. A distinctive new GMC-patented safety assist on the Yukon includes the Safety Alert Seat that vibrates if the driver is at risk of colliding with another vehicle.

Engine

The base SLE and SLT will be powered by a 5.3-litre V8 EcoTec3 engine with direct injection that delivers higher output than the outgoing model at 355hp and 519Nm. The Denali models, on the other hand, will feature the 6.2-litre V8 engine that delivers 420hp and 624Nm of torque.

The 5.3L V-8 is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the 6.2L in the Denali features a new ten-speed automatic transmission.

Price for the Yukon starts from AED 191,600 for the SLE and SLT models and goes up to AED 322,100 for the Denali XL model.
