185 New Vehicles Pressed Into Rain Emergency Service In Sharjah
The Sharjah Municipality has introduced a new system that includes 185 heavy and light vehicles and latest equipment in a bid to tackle rain-related emergencies and other crises.
Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, director-general of Sharjah Municipality said, “The new vehicles will be added to the fleet of existing ones to provide best services to the residents.” He continued: “The new vehicles will boost municipal services and keep pace with the rapid development of the transport sector. They will help carry out various civic works and businesses in different areas. The fleet is expected to speed up tasks and enhance quality.”

Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, director of customer services department said that the new fleet is another landmark achievement for the municipality. The new vehicles will be employed to handle rain-related issues as well as excavation, landfills, sanitation, and other important duties. The fleet will serve different sectors of the municipality and contribute to the development of performance, quality of work, and efficiency.
Director of transport department at Sharjah Municipality, Humaid Al Banna said that these vehicles are considered a new addition to enhance the work efficiency. “The department is keen to train its employees and provide them with the necessary expertise to deal with these vehicles and use them as per the international standards,” he pointed out.
